BACCARAT RULES

Online baccarat rules are the same as those for offline baccarat played in the UK. The game begins when the person called the dealer mixes the cards and puts them on the table. All persons playing the game have to bet on the bank or the player's hand. After this, every player receives two cards in each hand and players may draw a third card.

The cards have particular values up to ten and the face cards have no value. An ace may have the value of one or ten, depending on the situation. The person whose cards total to nine after distribution of cards is the winner. If the sum of cards is more than ten, only the last digit is considered.

The rules specify that the banker and player wager receive even money. However, all winning baker bets have to pay a charge of five percent. In case of a tie, the pay out is eight times the bet amount. One must remember that as always the casino enjoys an advantage over the players in all situations.

No decisions can be made after a bet has been placed, making Baccarat a very simple game to play. The rules are automatic and the Dealer acts strictly according to these rules without consulting the players.
The Objective of the game is to get a score as close to nine as possible. This is the highest total any baccarat hand can have. A two-card total of nine is a "natural" and cannot lose. An eight is also called a “natural” and can lose only to a “natural” nine. If both player and bank are dealt identical hands, it is a standoff (a tie) and neither bank nor player wins.
The dealer deals two cards each to the player and the banker.

If either the player or the banker has a total of an 8 or a 9 they both stand. There are no exceptions and this rule overrides all other rules.
If the player has total of 6 or 7, the player stands.
If the player stands, the banker hits on a total of 5 or less.
If the player has total of 5 or less, the player automatically hits and the banker gives him a third card.
If the player gets the third card then the banker draws a third card according to the following rules:
Banker has total of 0, 1, 2: Banker always draws a third card.
Banker has total of 3: Banker draws if Player's Third Card is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-9-0 (not 8)
Banker has total of 4: Banker draws if Player's Third Card is 2-3-4-5-6-7
Banker has total of 5: Banker draws if Player's Third Card is 4-5-6-7
Banker has total of 6: Banker draws if Player's Third Card is of 6-7
Banker has total of 7: Banker always stands.
Use this table to determine if the Banker hits or stands if the Player has drawn a card.
H - hit, S - stand.
